A Collective Force for Civic Engagement & Justice

United in Faith, Committed to Action

Founded in 2024 by community leaders, imams, and activists, the Muslim Council of Fort Bend (MCFB) unites 15+ mosques and institutions to advance justice, representation, and collective empowerment. We bridge faith and civic action through:

Our Guiding Principles

Muslim Council of Fort Bend (MCFB) is a nonpartisan coalition of mosques, leaders, and activists dedicated to safeguarding our community’s rights and amplifying its voice. We bridge Islamic values with civic responsibility through policy advocacy, voter mobilization, and strategic partnerships.

Governed by an Advisory Board of scholars and an elected Executive Council, we prioritize transparency, inclusivity, and measurable impact in all initiatives – from crisis response to interfaith collaboration.

Our Strategic Priorities

We transform Islamic values into actionable community leadership through three proven strategies. Partnering with 15+ Fort Bend mosques, we prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable progress in political access, social justice, and intergenerational empowerment – all grounded in our faith’s teachings.

Political Action

Endorsing values-aligned candidates & voter mobilization

Crisis Response

24/7 discrimination reporting & legal support

Youth Leadership

Internships with local officials & civic training

Faith in Action

Quranic Wisdom for Community Leadership

Our weekly Tafseer circles explore verses guiding civic responsibility and social justice. Through Surah Al-Hujurat (49:13) on diversity and Surah An-Nisa (4:135) on justice, we equip members to ethically engage with local policymaking and interfaith initiatives.

Sessions conclude with action plans – from neighborhood advocacy to compassionate service – turning reflection into tangible community impact.
